I won’t even hint at the idea that I might be somewhat talented in the kitchen. BUT when I do make something that doesn’t result in making a trip to the Emergency Room, I want to tell anyone who will listen. So, without further ado here are some cheap, simple and healthy recipes just for you! (Yeah that rhymes…)
Low Cost. Low Carb. Low Calories. Cook the turkey meat first, drain the juice into a bowl lined with foil. Add in 6 eggs and scramble in the same pan. Mix the eggs with the turkey meat and add additional spices. I added salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder. When mixed together spoon into a bowl. Add shredded cheese, salsa and/or avocado. Saves time and prepares enough for breakfast each morning of the week. (Works as a great lunch or dinner if you’re short on time.)
Low Carb, Low Calories.
Mix 8 eggs, 1 cup of shredded cheese, diced green onion, Johnsonville Chicken Sausage (with real apples), 1 tbsp of salt, 1 tbsp of pepper, and a little garlic salt.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray muffin tin with Pam. Mix ingredients in a bowl and then use a measuring cup to pour into muffin tin. Fill only half of each muffin tin or else it will bubble over like mine did. Place in oven at 350 for 30 minutes. (Time may vary.) I ate two every morning for a full week and they filled me up! Delicious!!! Of course you can add mushrooms, peppers, different sausage, bacon etc. But its so simple, I feel like an idiot for not trying to make these sooner. Enjoy!
